La hora

Ongoing

The DEED Lab is honored to be a hub of resources and information for researchers and students from around the world. So as to formalize this community of learning and practice, we launched “La hora” — monthly online gatherings in which all students, researchers, and lifelong learners are invited to participate.

In Spanish, “La hora” means “the hour,” “ahora” means “now,” and “llegó la hora” means “the time has come.” It is urgent that we collaborate on models that prioritize the future of artisans and their children over sales and profit.

We meet the first week of each month during the academic year, and hold space for dynamic sessions about the artisan sector, critical craft, art, design, entrepreneurship, social impact, and more!

Stay tuned via our Instagram account to learn about future events, and visit our YouTube Playlist for an archive of past sessions.
